The listed locations had religious, cultural, and/or historical value. Throughout these travels I remained outside of any organized groups or tours and traveled alone in order to meet and live like the locals whenever possible. Religion and culture, both ancient and modern were my focus. These experiences were very fulfilling and required a great amount of work, along with hardships. More recent travel experiences are not included here. I have lived within Europe for some six years and traveled throughout almost all major cities there. This included many months exploring Eastern Europe: Russia, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, etc.
